As a firm, we are committed to upholding the fiduciary standard, which is a legal standard demanding that we always act in utmost good faith in the best interest of the client. We avoid conflicts of interest to the greatest extent possible by adopting a fee-only revenue structure. That means we do not sell any financial products (e.g. life insurance, annuities, etc.) or use investment products that kick back commissions (e.g. load funds, dark pools, etc.). Each advisor is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner with over a decade of experience.
Unlike many firms, the owners/advisors are younger than your grandfather, which means we’ll still be here when you retire.
We will never take more clients than we can competently handle, which means clients will always have access to their advisor.
We believe in “eating your own cooking.” All advisors are invested in the same models as our clients.
Each advisor is deeply involved in his/her own community, and we encourage clients to do the same. Financial well-being and societal well-being are linked. We want to see clients successful in all parts of their lives.
Tech-forward: while we do love our spreadsheets, we also use state-of-the-art financial technologies to ensure consistent and accurate service.
While young, our advisors are tenured. Between the four partners, we have almost 70 years of combined experience working with clients at Sherrill & Hutchins.
